While Wall Street awaits quarterly results from several major companies, rising oil prices and renewed geopolitical tensions have added another layer of uncertainty to market sentiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The major U.S. indexes finished Monday&rsquo;s session lower after crude oil prices climbed on renewed concerns over tensions in the Middle East. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 307 points, or 0.59%, largely due to a decline of around 2% in Apple shares. The S&amp;P 500 slipped 0.19%, while the Nasdaq Composite edged down 0.05%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the broader market weakness, semiconductor stocks recovered some of last week&rsquo;s losses. Shares of Micron Technology and Advanced Micro Devices helped lift the VanEck Semiconductor ETF, suggesting investors are gradually returning to the sector after recent heavy selling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stock Futures Hold Steady&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahead of Tuesday&rsquo;s opening bell, Dow Jones futures traded slightly higher, while S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures remained broadly unchanged. Investors appear reluctant to make significant moves before several influential earnings reports that could provide fresh insight into corporate profitability and economic conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Market participants are expected to pay close attention not only to earnings results but also to management guidance, particularly regarding artificial intelligence investments, consumer demand, and business spending during the second half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trading across the Asia-Pacific region was mixed. Japan outperformed the region, with the Nikkei 225 climbing 1.63% and the Topix gaining 1.8%. South Korea&rsquo;s Kospi advanced 2%, although the technology-focused Kosdaq fell 2.15%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elsewhere, Australia&rsquo;s S&amp;P\/ASX 200 declined 0.35%, while mainland China&rsquo;s CSI 300 slipped 0.18%. Technology giants Alphabet and Tesla are scheduled to report later this week alongside IBM, while General Motors and 3M will release their results before Tuesday&rsquo;s opening bell. Insurance company Chubb is expected to report after the market closes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond headline earnings, investors will be looking for updates on corporate spending plans, particularly related to artificial intelligence, as well as executive commentary on demand trends and economic conditions for the remainder of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As earnings season accelerates, Wall Street faces an important test.
